Top Ten Ways to Stay in F.E.W.
These are in order of importance. I'm doing them from 10 to 1, as the first few that will be written will not be as obvious as the last ones.
10. Open challenges are nice, but no matter where I've gone, I've seen that too much. However, if you have your character go out to the ring, said he was scheduled to be in a match right now, and you have no idea who he set you up with for an opponent, it's like having an open challenge, but to the fans, you already have a match, and it's not just a random person coming out for him to job to you. This follows through with rule 8 with the whole originality idea.
9. Do not control what your character says and does. If anything, treat it like your character is the master and you're writing down what he wants to say and do. Remember, it's not believable if you add in your own personality into his (well, if your character has multiple personalities, or you base your character off of yourself, which honestly might be a nice choice for your first wrestler, then you are ok to talk like yourself. Just don't have a medieval knight talk like a German.)
8. Originality is the key. I have no problem of making your character go through a situation that seems like it would be fantasy in the real world, like being possessed by another wrestler, or doing magic. As long as it can be seen as an illusion of some sort, I'll allow it.
7. Ask, ask, ask. If you are wondering if something might be too graphic to go into a show, or don't know what to do, ask away.
6. Answer questions that you know the answer to. If you don't know, make a suggestion or write out your best guess.
5. Make sure to write out a biography, along with a photo so that I can make a wrestler card for you.
4. Update your bio when something new develops with your character (whether it be a new personality trait, change in alignment, or people you like/hate.)
3. Finding people to make rivalries with or partnerships with other wrestlers shows your great teamwork capability.
2. Don't start anything. Bring problems to my attention first.
1. Make sure to get in a role play when you're called for a match. And I don't mean write down 2 lines and you're done. That's not a role play. You're better off not role playing at all, but if you do that, you're probably not going to get a contract renewal.
If you can manage to follow most of these suggestions, especially 1-3, you're in good standings as far as I'm concerned, but if you want the bigger contracts, following all 10 is the only sure fire way of getting one. I don't award people with high entrances or fans big contracts, because if everyone does their part, I will be able to make everyone have high popularity and entrances in no time.
